Some celebrities like the Kardashians said that let Instagram be Instagram and not make it TikTok. Some other celebrities said that the reel algorithm is annoying to them if they want to see random videos they can see that on TikTok, if they are using Instagram they want to see what they follow, not some random videos. After this criticism, Instagram rolled back and they claimed that they are not replicating TikTok, the reels are different and have different features and scope than the TikTok videos. The static posts are almost dead now as they are not as engaging as the reels. Reels get more reach than static posts.
